Random commentary and senseless acts of blogging.
The first Republican president once said, "While the people retain their virtue and their vigilance, no administration by any extreme of wickedness or folly can seriously injure the government in the short space of four years." If Mr. Lincoln could see what's happened in these last three-and-a-half years, he might hedge a little on that statement. The Answer Is Blowing in the Wind (Between Your Ears) This weeks funniest attack againgst politicized celebrities comes courtesy of Charles Dodgson. It seems these letter writers were upset at hearing anti-war comments between songs at - a Joan Baez concert! Hey, I just came to hear her sing. Who knew she was into this anti-war stuff? Joan Baez performed beautifully in song and on guitar, but again and again between songs, she returned to her theme of bashing President Bush. During the encore, when she channeled herself into a young Arkansas girl complaining about Bush in a poem set to percussion, we had had too much and walked out.
And if that isn't bad enough, she's probably going to start doing Dixie Chicks covers. At least she still has a better voice than them.
