Last night's SNL was soft on Bush as they almost always are, but made up a little in the opening sketch by being brutal on the invertabrate delta-minuses in the White House press corps. The opening sketch was a parody of Bush's press conference with questions even dumber than the real ones. My personal favorite was a reporter from the 'Homeless Street News' who asked, "Mr President, can I have a dollar? And I have a follow-up. Can I have another dollar?" The only reporter in the sketch who asked hard questions, obviously intended to be Helen Thomas, was gagged and then tranquilized with a dart.
